About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable CELPIP Instructor to help students achieve their desired scores on the CELPIP exam. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging, results-driven lessons while ensuring students build not only test-taking strategies but also practical English skills for real-life situations in Canada.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons covering all sections of the CELPIP test: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
Analyze students' performance to identify areas for improvement and customize lesson plans to meet individual needs.
Teach proven strategies for time management, understanding question types, and responding effectively.
Provide detailed, actionable feedback on students' speaking and writing tasks, helping them refine their grammar, vocabulary, coherence, and fluency.
Create a positive, motivating learning environment to build students' confidence and encourage participation.
Track student progress and regularly review performance to adjust teaching methods as needed for maximum results.
Stay updated on CELPIP test changes and adjust teaching materials accordingly.
Requirements
Possession of a recognized degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in English, with a minimum score of CLB 10 or equivalent on standardized tests.
Experience in teaching English as a second language (ESL) or in preparing students for English proficiency assessments.
Familiarity with the CELPIP test format and scoring criteria, along with the ability to provide constructive feedback to students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse learners.
Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of CELPIP test candidates.
